Website Hit

A website hit is simply a request made to a server for any content on a site, like pages or images. While hits can show how popular a site might be, they don’t really tell us about unique visitors (one person loading multiple things can rack up lots of hits without more people actually visiting). For better insights into user engagement and web performance, it’s smarter to look at unique visits and page views instead of just focusing on hits.
