Content Delivery Network (CDN)

A Content Delivery Network (CDN) is a network of servers strategically located across various geographical locations to deliver content more efficiently and quickly to users over the web.A CDN enhance the performance, reliability, and availability of websites by reducing the delay before data begins to transfer (latency).

When a user requests content from a website, such as images, videos, or HTML pages, the CDN redirects that request to the nearest server in its network. This proximity minimises travel time for data packets and improves loading speeds significantly compared to fetching content from the original server alone. As a result of the CND, users experience faster access times to content which contributes positively to a websites SEO as faster load times are favoured by search engines like Google.
