HTTP

HTTP, or Hypertext Transfer Protocol, is a foundational protocol used for transmitting data over the World Wide Web. It defines how messages are formatted and transmitted and how web servers and browsers should respond to various commands. Essentially, HTTP enables communication between clients (such as web browsers) and servers hosting websites. When a user enters a URL into their browser’s address bar or clicks on a link, an HTTP request is sent to the server that hosts the desired webpage. The server then processes this request and returns an HTTP response containing the requested content typically in HTML format as well as status codes indicating whether the request was successful or if there were any errors.
