Redirect

In SEO, a redirect is when you automatically send users and search engines from one web address to another. The most common types are 301 redirects, which mean the page has permanently moved and pass on its ranking to the new URL, and 302 redirects for temporary moves. Redirects help fix broken links, combine pages into one strong source, or switch from HTTP to HTTPS without losing visitors. However, using them incorrectly can confuse users or hurt your site’s ranking, so it’s important to use them wisely.
